Eintracht Frankfurt put themselves in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Europa League with a 2-1 win over Ajax in Amsterdam last week.
Die Adler will be looking to complete the job at home on Thursday after a disappointing 1-2 defeat to Union Berlin at the weekend - their third league loss in a row.
Ajax, meanwhile, bounced back with a 1-0 away win over Zwolle thanks to Kenneth Taylor's second-half penalty. The win kept them eight points clear of PSV at the top of the Eredivisie.
Eintracht will be without long-term absentees Timothy Chandler (hamstring) and Igor Matanovic (foot) as well as the suspended Nnamdi Collins, while Aurele Amenda (calf) and Arthur Theate (calf) are questionable.
Robin Koch is expected back from an infection and could return to the starting line-up. Meanwhile, Ansgar Knauff, Mario Götze and Hugo Ekitiké are all in line to start after being rested against Union Berlin. The same goes for Ellyes Skhiri, who was suspended at the weekend.
For Ajax, 41-year-old veteran goalkeeper Remko Pasveer remains sidelined after being forced off with an injury in the first leg.
The Dutch outfit will also be without Youri Regeer (ankle) and Wout Weghorst (broken toe), with Christian Rasmussen (hamstring) and Amourricho van Axel Dongen (ankle) both doubtful.
