Sport1 reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are still interested in Anderlecht defender Zeno Debast, despite being unable to complete a deal in the summer.
Frankfurt made an offer to Anderlecht for the defender in the summer, but the Belgian club did not believe the offer was convincing enough. However, Frankfurt already have an agreement in principle with the 18-year-old which likely means that they will try again for Debast in the winter.
Frankfurt will want to boost their defensive options after the departures of Evan Ndicka and Almamy Touré while they only have three first-team quality central defenders at the moment. This season, Frankfurt have the best defence in the whole Bundesliga having conceded only five goals so far, but their attack has been poor having only scored six goals as they sit in eighth position.
Debast has played nine times for Anderlecht this season as they currently sit second in the Belgian Pro League one point behind Union Saint-Gilloise.
