Eintracht Frankfurt have sold all of their available Europa League tickets – without even knowing who they’re playing yet.
Labelling the scheme “blind date”, Frankfurt made seats available due to high demand and their fans didn’t disappoint, scooping them up immediately.
“The enthusiasm for the international matches of Eintracht is huge and shows the importance of the Europa League in Frankfurt,” said SGE board member Axel Hellmann.
“All tickets for the home games of the group stage sold out, six weeks before we have even determined opponents and matchdays – that only exists at Eintracht Frankfurt.”
On August 31, the group stage of the Europa League will be drawn in Monaco.
