It seems as though PSV Eindhoven are going to win the race to sign Jerdy Schouten from Bologna ahead of AC Milan, according to a report.
According to Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink, PSV are closing on a deal to sign the Duthcman for what will be about €12m as a transfer fee plus a few million euros in bonuses and a small resale percentage.
PSV have not had to invest money in order to sign the 26-year-old from the Rossoblu because there was still money available from the Noni Madueke deal, given they sold the winger to Chelsea for about €35m.
Schouten’s flight from Bologna was expected to take off yesterday as per the journalist but was slightly delayed, though he landed in the Netherlands yesterday evening.
PSV still has some paperwork to do with the Serie A side but if everything goes to plan he will undergo his medical soon and sign for the Eindhoven club.
Elfrink reported on Friday that Milan had offered €20m to sign Schouten but that the player only wanted to return to his home country and join PSV.
