Today marks the anniversary of Ronaldo Nazário's debut for Real Madrid. The Brazilian’s legacy at our club began back on 6 October 2002. His first outing in a Madrid shirt came in the meeting with Alavés at the Santiago Bernabéu and his performance remains etched in the memories of all home supporters. It took the Brazilian all of a minute to notch the first of his 104 goals as a madridista. The hitman went on to complete his brace in that game to round off a dream debut.

Ronaldo remained at Real Madrid until the start of 2007 and played his part as the team lifted an Intercontinental Cup, in which he landed the Man-of-the-Match award, two LaLiga titles and a Spanish Super Cup. During his time at the club, he also topped the LaLiga scoring charts in the 2003/04 season. Meanwhile, in his career, he also won the Ballon d'Or on two occasions and twice lifted the World Cup, successes that make him one of the greatest forwards of all time.
