Efraín Álvarez, one of the most exciting promises of the Mexican National Team (who still has a chance to play for the United States) has revealed that he is a Chivas fan.
The 18-year-old footballer revealed that his father, Crescencio Álvarez, played on the Chivas U-20 squad, which has made him and his whole family huge Chivas supporters.
“My father played in Chivas in the days of Chicharito’s father, then he came with my mother for the American dream and still played at Chivas up to the U-20 level.
“He came to a team in Los Angeles and it was there that I began to fall in love with football.
“Yes, of course, we always see the great ones, but yes, Chivas (have a special place in my heart) because my father always followed them.”
Álvarez, who was the youngest signing in USL history in 2017 (15 years, one month, and 14 days old), has featured 34 times for the Los Angeles Galaxy first-team squad, scoring three goals and dishing out five assists.
