Millwall came from behind in the second half to secure three points at home against Stoke City in the EFL Championship. The visitors got the lead in the 20th minute through Sawyers but the home side bounced back in the second half, taking the lead via a brace from Tom Bradshaw.

Millwall narrowly edged out in terms of xG. Their xG of 1.77 surpassed that of their opponents’, 1.63. Both teams were almost equal in terms of defensive metrics with Millwall pressing more effectively. Stoke City maintained higher possession of the ball at the final whistle.
Bradshaw led the xG chart with an xG of 1.24. Jed Wallace made seven dribbles during the game while Mitchell made six recoveries in the opponent half. Ostigard won the highest number of duels.
Millwall took a total of eight shots with four shots on target. Both of their goals were scored from inside the opposition box.
Stoke City took a total of 14 shots with two shots on target. They took most of their shots from inside the opposition box, their only goal of the game was also scored from inside the box.
The xT timeline indicates that it was a closely fought contest. Stoke City were more threatening during the first half and they also started the second half better than Millwall. However, Millwall bounced back in the second half and were the more threatening side. They similarly dominated the xG timeline in the second half although Stoke City tried to level up during the later stages of the game but they failed to do so.

Hutchinson won five out of his 13 defensive duels. Millwall were successful in winning defensive duels on the left wing near the centre.
Cooper won six of his eight aerial duels while Bradshaw won just three of his 13. Millwall won most of their aerial duels in their own half and few near the opponent half.
Ballard won four of his five loose ball duels while Ojo won four of his seven. Millwall recovered most of their loose balls on the right-wing near the centre.
Stoke City won most of their defensive duels in their own half. Souttar won two of his eight defensive duels.
Ostigard won seven of his 10 aerial duels. Stoke City won most of their aerial duels on the right-wing near the centre.
James Chester won four of his eight loose ball duels. Stoke City recovered most of their loose balls in the opponent half.
Tom Bradshaw’s double in the second half ensured that his side take all three points at home against Stoke City.
