Bristol City started the match in a 4-4-2 formation with Chris Martin and Andreas Weimann lead the charge.
Bristol played with a high defence line near the centre with the remaining players playing in the opposition half.
Luton Town took the pitch in a 3-4-1-2 formation with the pair of Harry Cornick and Cameron Jerome upfront with Pelly Ruddock behind them as the number 10.
Average positions show that Luton played mostly in the opposition half through the centre holding their back five deep in their own half.
Luton had 18 shots in total during the game with an xG of 2.63. They scored only one goal and managed to keep only four shots on target. Bristol on the other hand, had 11 shots with an xG of 1.18 with only two shots on target and one goal as well. Both the teams were equally defensively active.
Luton’s Cameron Jerome had the most shots in the match(5) with an xG of 1.04. Goalscorer Nathan Baker had the most shots (3) for Bristol. Zak Vyner had the most passes into the final third.
Bristol City took most of their shots inside the box, scoring the goal from there. They took a couple of shots from outside as well but most of their shots were off target.
Luton Town had most of their shots inside the box. They scored their last-minute equaliser inside the six-yard box.
xT timeline shows that except around the half-hour mark when Bristol scored the goal, Luton dominated most of the match. However, they failed to score throughout the match before equalising at the 90th minute.

Henri Lansbury had the highest xT from passing (0.51) while Elijah Adebayo led the charts for dribbles (0.073).
Bristol City lost the majority of their defensive duels. Massengo lost five duels. Zak Vyner, Alex Scott and Andreas Weimann were unimpressive.
They were really impressive in aerial duels. Tomas Kalas and Nathan Baker were impressive winning 10 duels each.
Bristol won a lot of 50-50 balls with Rob Atkinson winning seven duels. Chris Martin lost 15 duels higher up the pitch.
Luton Town won the majority of the duels in the defensive third. Henri Lansbury won four duels but ended up losing six duels.
Luton were really great in the air winning most of their aerial duels however Danny Hylton lost all of his duels.
They won most of the loose balls with Kal Naismith being the standout performer winning nine duels.
Luton were the better team on the pitch but were unable to make the most out of their chances.
