Nigel Pearson might be one of the most misunderstood managers in English football.

His outbursts at Leicester and Derby may see him portrayed as a no-nonsense hard-man, wedded to a very specific type of British Manager Football.

But nothing could be further from the case.

An advocate of passing football and a vociferous anti-Brexit campaigner, Pearson has had to move down a division to find a coaching role but is so far doing a brilliant job at Bristol City.
