Arsenal and Leeds United meet in the fourth round of the EFL Cup tonight, with the away side welcoming a contest outside of the league, after a difficult start to their second campaign back in the top flight.

The Gunners, who have turned a corner after three straight defeats to start the season, are now unbeaten in their last six, accumulating 14 points in the process.

With a place in the quarter-finals at stake, both clubs will be striving to get their name back in the hat, with a trip to Wembley edging closer.

The two sides are yet to play each other in the league this season, but the away side will be hoping to inflict defeat on Arsenal, as last time out, they could only manage a draw and a loss, whilst they fell two points short in the final standings.

Latest team news

Arsenal will be without both Kieran Tierney (bruised left ankle) and Granit Xhaka (knee injury recovery).

Bernd Leno could come back into the side after losing his place to the impressive Aaron Ramsdale in recent weeks, whilst Cedric Soares could replace Takehiro Tomiyasu at right-back.

Rob Holding and Pablo Mari could come in for Ben White and Gabriel, for the purpose of keeping things fresh.

Teenage sensation Charlie Patino could also feature tonight, with the 18-year-old edging closer to first-team football with the North London club.

According to Leeds’ official site, Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Robin Koch, will also miss the visit to London.

There are also now fresh concerns over the fitness of Raphinha, with the exciting winger getting injured during their clash with Wolves at the weekend.
