Edwin Cardona has admitted that he regrets the way he left Boca Juniors last month.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at the Buenos Aires giant where he scored seven goals in 31 appearances.
Expectation was that Cardona would sign permanently for Boca, but that wasn’t the case.
The Colombia international eventually left under a cloud and went back to parent club Monterrey.
“I didn’t want to leave the way I did,” he told reporters.
“I’m surprised by what happened to me. I wanted to stay but nobody ever spoke to me or my agent.”
Cardona has since gone back out on loan, but this time to Pachuca in Mexico.
