Eduardo Berizzo 'set to take over' at Athletic Bilbao

Eduardo Berizzo will reportedly be appointed as the new manager at Athletic Bilbao come the end of the season.

The Argentine tactician was previously at Sevilla, but was dismissed from his role in December, even though he had guided them to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Berizzo, who was also recovering from prostrate cancer at the time of his sacking, is said to be the man to replace José Ángel Ziganda at the San Mames.

Both Marca and Mundo Deportivo claim that the Basque side view the former Celta Vigo boss as the ideal candidate to take the reins.

Athletic are currently 12th in La Liga and crashed out of the Europa League at the last 16 stage.
