Edu, Arsenal‘s Sporting Director, has been honoured with the Best European Director Award at the prestigious Golden Boy 2023 ceremony.

Hosted by the Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport and decided upon by a panel of esteemed legends, this accolade recognises Edu’s significant contributions to Arsenal since he assumed the role of Sporting Director almost a year ago, on November 18, 2022.

His journey with the club began in the summer of 2019 when he rejoined Arsenal as the Technical Director. Edu’s transition to the position of Sporting Director marked a significant milestone in his career and Arsenal’s history, being the first individual to hold this title at the club.

In his current role, Edu has been instrumental in overseeing the men’s, women’s, and academy teams at Arsenal.
