Jeremie Frimpong and late substitute Patryk Klimala scored the Celts’ two other goals, to round off what was a comfortable victory for Neil Lennon’s side.

The 28-year-old wasn’t called into action on too many instances during the tie, but he made a decent save to keep Hamilton out in the first half. Helpless about the Jullien own-goal though.

Jeremie Frimpong – 8.5

The speedster put in a quite phenomenal display down the right flank as he bombarded forward and overlapped the winger on every instance. Made a lung-busting run before scoring one himself.

Christopher Jullien – 7.5

The big defender put in a solid shift in the heart of the defence, but his match was filled with incidents. Hit the post with a delicious volley before conceding an unfortunate own-goal.

Kristoffer Ajer – 7

The Dane was fairly dominant in the air against the Hamilton attackers, but he needs to get more tight to his man when tracking back. Made a couple of decent blocks and maintained possession well.

Greg Taylor – 8

Like his full-back partner, the speedster tried to get forward on every opportunity, but he ensured that he performed his defensive duties as well. Set up both the Celts’ first-half goals as well.

Scott Brown – 7

The veteran midfield anchor controlled the tempo of the game from the engine room. Played some important forward passes and had the vision to spread the play a few times as well.

Callum McGregor – 7.5

The playmaker was at the heart of a lot of the attacks that this Celtic team created on the night. Linked up well with the forwards and moved the ball around with supreme confidence too.

The midfielder kept the ball moving from his role in the middle of the pitch, as he produced a couple of decent efforts at goal as well. Offered himself as a good passing option on multiple instances.

The trickster produced an excellent dummy on the lead up to one of the Celtic goals, as he gave the Hamilton defenders a tough time with his movement and sheer finesse in possession of the ball.

Odsonne Edouard – 9

The Frenchman was quite superb leading the line tonight as he dropped deep when required to and held the ball up as well. Picked up some good positions and scored a simple hat-trick.

James Forrest – 8

The speedster tried to impact the tie in the final third, and he managed to combine very effectively with the likes of Edouard and Taylor. Did exceptionally well to set up Edouard in the second half as well.
