Edoardo Bove’s cardiac arrest in Fiorentina-Inter scared the entire football world and beyond.
The midfielder, a product of the Giallorossi youth sector, continues to be in intensive care at Careggi in Florence.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, cardiologists are scrupulously investigating the player’s past. They are trying to understand if any previous phenomena, from adolescence onwards, have left any trace.
From the tests in the doctors’ possession, for example, the Covid that Bove had in 2020, which among the consequences brought with it a slight myocarditis, does not appear to have left any traces on the heart.
In addition to the coronary CT scan, which gave a satisfactory result, the cardiac magnetic resonance is the decisive test.
The renal picture must also be evaluated since Bove showed up at the hospital with below-normal levels of potassium and calcium, which are very dangerous for the heart’s activity.
