Edoardo Bove: “I can only thank Mourinho for believing in me.” | OneFootball

Former Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove reflected on his transition from Roma Primavera captain to Fiorentina player at the orders of Raffaele Palladino.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Bove expressed his gratitude towards Jose Mourinho who gave him the opportunity to feature in Roma’s first team.

“Mourinho was the coach who launched me and valorized me, it’s difficult to even describe in words how important he was for me,” said the 23-year-old.

“He gave me the chance to enter senior football, he believed in me and my qualities. I can only thank him.”

When asked about coming together with former Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi in Florence, Bove said, “People are interested in understanding what happened.”

“Our paths, whether you like it or not, were similar and were then interrupted: however, we both left something in the respective clubs in which we grew up.”

“And here in Florence with Danilo I feel very comfortable not only on the pitch: he is a fantastic lad.”
