Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has revealed that he has apologised to team mate Eric Garcia after their sickening collision earlier this week.
Garcia was stretchered off in City’s 3-0 win over Arsenal after colliding with the shot-stopper and will be unavailable for their clash with Burnley on Monday.
And the Brazilian has confirmed that he has been in contact with the Spanish youngster who gave him a “big scare”.
“I was talking to him just before the interview. I was unable to be with him yesterday after the match because from the stadium he went straight to the hospital and went straight to the observation. But it was just a big scare, he’s fine,” he told ESPN Brasil.
“He only has a small cut inside the lip. Today I talked to him, I apologised. I said it wasn’t my intention to hurt him. But there it was a decision that I had to make. But he understood well, we talked.
“He’s a boy that I like a lot, I always joke with him here on a daily basis, he knows that. So thank God he’s okay, it was just a big scare.”
