Ederson rarely needs an excuse to get involved with play, so it wasnât a surprise to see him come out of his box against Wolves on Monday night.
With Adama TraorĂŠ racing through, the Brazilian intercepted the ball and decided to play in defensive midfield with countryman Fernandinho.
You could maybe doubt his decision making at crucial moments but not his technique.
âIâm so pleased because he stays high,â Guardiola told reporters after the game. âThe keeper has to defend our back four, and with the long balls heâs perfect.
âWhen he helps to do that, we play better, our midfielders get the ball in better conditions. We love Ederson the way he is, thatâs why itâs not a problem.â
Never change.
