Eden Hazard’s disappointing stint at Real Madrid could soon be coming to an end with the player keen to leave the club.
That’s according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reported late on Sunday that Hazard wants to leave Los Blancos after having had a medical disagreement with club president Florentino Pérez.
Hazard’s time at the Bernabéu has been plagued by various injuries and according to Tavolieri’s information, the club’s medical department has recommended he undergoes another operation.
However, Pérez would reportedly prefer it if the 31-year-old kept playing to put him in the shop window for potential buyers.
Madrid spent €115m when they signed Hazard from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, but he has managed just 59 appearances in two-and-a-half years.
Hazard has made 16 appearances in all competitions so far this season, but has yet to register a goal in 2021/22 and was an unused substitute as Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Athletic Club in the Supercopa de España final on Sunday evening.
