Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has no plans of leaving and wants to fulfil his contract until 2024, claims his younger brother Kylian.
Hazard’s time at Santiago Bernabeu has been ravaged with injuries and inconsistency, as he failed to replicate the stellar form he showed at Chelsea.
There have also been reports that the Belgian winger could return to Stamford Bridge on loan next season to regain his form.
Kylian has now revealed that the 31-year-old doesn’t intend to leave the Spanish capital before the expiry of his contract.
Speaking to an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws (h/t Mundo Deportivo), he said: “Eden has already made his career. He is fine where he is – his family feels good there. He has a contract until 2024 and I think he will wait until then.
“Maybe Eden is playing a little less now and the team is functioning without him. But everyone knows how good he is. He has to show that he is a good substitute.”
Hazard’s struggles have continued this season, as he is yet to score a goal in La Liga and is currently down the pecking order of Carlo Ancelotti.
Although the Belgian forward wants to succeed at Bernabeu, it remains to be seen whether he will be part of Madrid’s plans next season.
Los Blancos are likely to go on a spending spree this summer, with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland on their wishlist.
It leaves Hazard’s future uncertain as Madrid could sell several outcasts to generate funds for new signings.
