Eden Hazard has warned his Chelsea team-mates that they must secure Champions League football for next season.
The Blues are currently in a fierce domestic battle for top four places, while they remain favourites for progression into the Europa League semi-finals.
And Hazard – who has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge – believes a Champions League return will only benefit the club.
“We have to qualify – that’s it, that simple,” he told the club’s official website.
“We want to play in the Champions League next season so the only solution is to be in the top four or win the Europa League.
“It’s not just about me, the club has to be in the Champions League. For the fans, the board, the players, the staff, we need this.”
“Every year is different, every year is hard, but at the end the target is always the same,” the Belgian added.
“To win a trophy and play Champions League. In the last 10 years we’ve won a lot of trophies, so we need to think we can keep doing it.
“It’s just about mentality. We are Chelsea. If we want to win something we can do it.”
The Blues host Slavia Prague in their Europa League quarter-final second leg on Thursday, where they currently lead 1-0.
