However, an 85th-minute equaliser from Santi Mina gave Celta a share of the spoils and leaves Real just one point clear of Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.

“I felt good,” Hazard said in his post-match interview, according to Marca.

“The first 10 minutes I was tired, but as the minutes went by I felt fine.

“I’m happy with my performance, but not with the result.

“I hope we’ll improve in the next few games.”

Real will need to be at their best in the coming weeks.

They travel to Levante next Saturday before hosting Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash the following Wednesday.

Zinedine Zidane’s men will then entertain Barcelona on Sunday, March 1, in an El Clásico encounter that will have a huge bearing on who will win La Liga this season.
