Chelsea fans love Eden Hazard, and they always will.

Despite him having left them for Real Madrid, Blues fans harbour no ill will, and in fact barely a day goes by on Chelsea Twitter without someone posting a lovingly crafted Hazard compilation video.

The rumours that the winger might come back to Chelsea have always seemed a little like wishful thinking therefore, but the latest trickle of news, as reported by SportWitness, make it all seem a lot more feasible.

“I think Hazard would prefer to go back to Chelsea. I’m keeping him at Chelsea,” a Belgian journalist mused in Het Laatste Nieuws discussion about Hazard’s uncertain future at Madrid.

We can see why Hazard might want to go, but how would he fit in at the new look Chelsea? Not very well, according to one of the other participants in the discussion, who pointed out it was hard to see him doing the defending his manager would demand.

“Can you see Tuchel already shouting: ‘Eden, quick, run back!”

No, frankly, we can’t. Maybe this one should be left as just fantasy.
