Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah insists there are ‘no hostilities’ between him and Alexandre Lacazette in their battle to start at centre forward.
Nketiah scored the Gunners’ opening goal in their 3-2 win over Everton on Sunday, starting ahead of Lacazette for the second successive weekend.
But the 20-year-old claims his senior team-mate has been nothing but helpful despite their competition to lead the line.
“Obviously he (Lacazette) is a mature lad and a great player,” he told Goal. “He always tries to encourage me.
“He has been a young player in my position so he knows what it is like.
“There are no hostilities, he’s just always looking to help and improve and it shows the maturity he has.
“He has had a great career so all I can do is take the advice he gives me and try and implement it in my game.”
Lacazette, however, is expected to start against Olympiakos on Thursday after scoring in the 1-0 win in Piraeus.
