Eddie Howe reveals Bruno Guimarães's Newcastle release clause expiry

Eddie Howe has revealed that Bruno Guimarães’ release clause at Newcastle expires this summer.

The Brazil international continues to be linked with several clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

But any potential suitors would need to meet the playmaker’s £100m valuation, which is set to be active until the end of June.

“Having that was well planned and structured by the club, in a sense that there is a finish point,” said Howe.

“We don’t want the constant speculation, I don’t think that’s healthy for the player or for us.”

Newcastle entertain relegation candidates Sheffield United in their next Premier League encounter on Saturday.
