Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his side after getting Manchester United back in the Champions League.

Manchester United are close to concluding a deal to bring Jadon Sancho back to England from Borussia Dortmund.

That is according to Duncan Castles of The Times, who has written about the difficulties clubs are facing in the transfer window, particularly during a global pandemic, and suggests Ed Woodward believes the potential Sancho transfer can help to make United competitive again.

We must realise in order for United to return to their competitive ways in the Premier League they must bridge a gap after finishing 33 points behind Liverpool this season. There is also some catching up to do on Man City — but the Reds finished third and are moving in the right direction.

It would be a real shame if United weren’t able to deliver Solskjaer’s top targets. Especially given the Norwegian’s transfers last summer were a success during their first season at the club, which saw United qualify for the Champions League. The manager deserves to be backed financially and I think signing Sancho would be right statement.

The English winger is a star in the making and he’s bound to return to the Premier League one day.

United have a chance to ensure Sancho is playing at Old Trafford next season.
