“Easy decision” – Jude Bellingham insists he has no regrets over Man Utd snub | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham has insisted he has no regrets over snubbing a move to Manchester United last year in favour of a move to Germany. The 17-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise to international stardom but was said to be close to joining United last year.

Bellingham left Birmingham after the 2019/20 season with a massive reputation – his childhood club even retired his shirt number upon his exit just over a year ago.

But despite the luxury of Sir Alex Ferguson giving Bellingham’s family a tour of the training ground, the teenager claims that his decision to move abroad was ‘easy’ in the end.

“To be fair, it was a decision that was quite easy in the end,” Bellingham told England’s official YouTube channel. “I think if you look at Dortmund’s track record with young players and the way they develop them, it was the obvious answer.”

Bellingham’s extraordinary form earned him a call-up to England’s final 26-man squad but transfer speculation is set to dominate the midfielder’s time in Germany. Manchester United have already been linked with a swoop again but reports of interest from Chelsea and Liverpool are also prominent.
