We could see a number of changes against Atalanta on Wednesday night.

The team needs to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to Leicester City and make sure that performance levels are upped a notch.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may need to tweak the system and get more energy into the XI. That was lacking against the Foxes and there’s no point having X amount of attacking players on the pitch if you can’t win or keep possession of the ball.

While I thought Nemanja Matic did well in the centre, it was a total mismatch having Paul Pogba alongside because the Frenchman doesn’t want to work like we need our midfielders to. It has become a luxury selection and it’s letting us down.

As for Atalanta, the Serie A outfit are unbeaten in their last 11 away matches across all competitions, but look set to be without Germany international Robin Gosens. Hans Hateboer and Berat Djimsiti will also be missing.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is eligible after UEFA reduced his two-game suspension following a successful appeal from the club, as per the Daily Mail. He was sent off in United’s first Champions League game of the season as we lost to Swiss side Young Boys.

Fred and Edinson Cavani will return to the squad after missing the weekend’s game due to World Cup qualifying commitments, as per ManUtd.com.
