EA Sports have also removed Ronaldo’s image from their social channels but have not confirmed the reason behind the change. Their Twitter and Facebook accounts had featured images of the Portuguese star but have now been replaced by logos and reviews.

EA did release a statement addressing the allegations facing Ronaldo on Wednesday.

“We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo,” EA Sports said on Wednesday, as reported by Associated Press.

“We are closely monitoring the situation, as we expect cover athletes and ambassadors to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA’s values.”
