December was his month. Jesper Lindström posted three goals and two assists in the Bundesliga, playing a key role in Eintracht’s upturn in form. Having already been shortlisted for the Rookie of the Month, those performances have now earned him a place on the shortlist for the best player of the last month of 2021, which is independent of age. The Dane is up against some hefty competition: Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich, Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, Patrik Schick of Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg’s Nico Schlotterbeck.
