Dybala, El Shaarawy, & Dovbyk expected to start in attack for Roma in Derby | OneFootball

Roma and Lazio are under 48 hours away from facing off in this season’s first edition of the Derby della Capitale.

The Stadio Olimpico will be packed on Sunday when the struggling Giallorossi face-off against their in-city rivals, who are thriving this season under new manager Marco Baroni.

With less than two days until kick-off, Roma boss Claudio Ranieri received a major boost on the injury front. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Artem Dovbyk is fully fit and ready to start in Sunday’s highly anticipated fixture.

The Ukrainian striker returned to training with the group on Friday after knee discomfort forced him to miss the Giallorossi’s open training session on January 1st at Tre Fontane.

As a result, Ranieri is expected to start Dovbyk alongside Paulo Dybala and Stephan El Shaarawy for Sunday’s showdown against the Biancocelesti.

The fixture marks the first major Derby of Dovbyk’s club career following stints in Ukraine, Denmark, and Spain.
