Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has revealed he is still looking for a managerial role after leaving Australian side Macarthur FC at the start of the year.

Yorke reached an agreement with Macarthur to terminate the remainder of his contact, allowing him to pursue other opportunities.

The former Trinidad and Tobago international oversaw a Australia Cup triumph in his first managerial job, and now he is looking for a chance to take his coaching career to the next level.

Speaking to AtlIndex.com, as relayed by the Manchester Evening News, Yorke said: “I focus on trying to be a manager and getting jobs. I’m really focused on that kind of stuff. Neville has his own agenda, and good luck to him. I wish him all the best in his efforts, and it doesn’t come as a surprise to see him on Dragons’ Den as he’s always been a decent communicator.”

Hopefully Yorke gets an opportunity in Europe next time out. Even League One would be a good test for the former striker.
