Everton have completed the signing of Dutch international forward Katja Snoeijs on a two-year deal.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the deal via an official club press release from Everton a short time ago. Snoeijs joins The Blue Girls on a free transfer after recently leaving French club Bordeaux.

The 25-year-old Amsterdam-born hotshot boasts an incredible goalscoring record in the domestic game. Snoeijs bagged 86 league goals in five seasons in spells with AZ Alkmaar and PSV while she has followed up that feat with 19 league goals in 42 outings in two years in France with Bordeaux.

On the international stage, Snoeijs has scored nine goals in 13 appearances for the Dutch national team. She is not a member of Mark Parsons’ side which are competing at this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO.

After completing her move to Everton, Snoeijs said “I’m really excited to be here. This is a big club with a lot of history in the women’s game in England.

“England has the best league in Europe. I’ve followed this league from a distance, and you see teams develop and grow. As a player, it’s something you want to be a part of.”

Snoeijs is new Everton boss Brian Sørensen’s second signing of the summer transfer window following the addition of Jess Park on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.
