Dutch boss Louis van Gaal reveals prostate cancer diagnosis

Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that he is suffering with cancer.

The 70-year-old revealed on a Dutch talk show on Sunday that he has an “aggressive form of prostate cancer” and has had “radiotherapy 25 times”.

Van Gaal admitted to Humberto that he didn’t want to share the diagnosis earlier so as not to “influence the national squad”.

Van Gaal has though, insisted he would will be at the World Cup at the end of the year.

The former Ajax and Barcelona was speaking on the subject as there will be a documentary released about his life and career later this month.
