Durham defender Robert joins Rugby Borough | OneFootball

Durham defender Georgia Robert has joined FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Rugby Borough on a permanent deal.

The Wildcats announced the news via a post on their official club X account this morning.

It has been reported that Rugby Borough have paid an undisclosed fee to secure Robert’s services. She links-up with Rugby Borough boss Lee Burch after previously working with him at former club London Bees.

Robert spent one season in the North East with Durham. The player made 18 appearances for the club in last season’s Barclays Women’s Championship. Robert has not been involved in any of Durham’s first four league games this season and she will now revert to part-time football at Rugby Borough.

After rebranding from Coventry United to Rugby Borough over the summer, the Warwickshire club have made an excellent start to life in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division. Burch’s side have won five of their six league matches so far this season and the club have every chance of maintaining a serious promotion push. Rugby Borough are in FAWNL Cup action this weekend as they play host to Swindon Town.

It is not known whether Robert could make her Rugby Borough debut this weekend.
