England have announced that Curtis Jones and Tino Livramento have received their first senior call-ups.
Interim boss Lee Carsley was forced into a rethink after Kobbie Mainoo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Ezri Konsa all pulled out on Monday through injury.
Jones and Livramento, who both played prominent parts for Carsley during his time in charge of the U21 side, have never been capped (or in a matchday squad) at senior level before.
It will end any speculation about Newcastle defender’s Livramento international allegiances – with the full-back also eligible for Scotland and Portugal.
England have also confirmed that Harry Kane continues to train alone at St George’s Park as he looks to get back to full fitness, while Jack Grealish missed Wednesday’s session as a precaution.
They face Greece at Wembley on Thursday before travelling to Helsinki to take on Finland.
