Despite losing the opening game of the month, Celtic have won their last three games and will look to extend that run with a result against Tony Docherty’s Dundee, who were robbed of a deserved victory against theRangers last midweek.

The Scottish Champions haven’t lost at Dens Park in 37 years since Tommy Coyne’s strike downed Billy McNeill’s side back in September 1988. Brendan will be keen for his side to show the form that they displayed in the 4-1 win over Ross County on Saturday in order to record another win.

As reported on The Celtic Star earlier today the Friarton Bridge on the M90 is currently closed with reports of up to FOUR hour delays in the journey through Perth to Dundee. Accordingly Celtic supporters are being urged by Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor to seek alternative routes to Dundee and it may be prudent to set off as early as possible for the game at Dens Park.

TRAVEL UPDATE – Friarton Bridge has now re-opened. Still delays heading south but should now be fine for the Celtic buses and cars heading to Dundee this evening.

Brendan has confirmed that Daizen Maeda remains out and requires more time before returning to action, hopefully in time for the Scottish Cup tie with Kilmarnock on Saturday evening. James Forrest remains sidelined for a few more weeks. However, the Celtic manager will welcome both Luis Palma and Nicolas Kühn back into the squad after the pair missed the weekend’s trip up the A9 to Dingwall.

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. In defence, the American Bhoys of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty will start in the central pairing with Alistair Johnston on the right with Greg Taylor likely coming in on the left. In midfield, Callum McGregor will start and you would expect Luke McCowan to start against his former club with Arne Engels in the midfield three.

Kyogo and Adam Idah started in Dingwall and the manager may be tempted to try this again. However, with two wingers available, Rodgers might play Palma or Yang with Kühn taking over on the right.

Don Robertson has been appointed as the referee for tonight’s Scottish Premiership encounter between Dundee and Celtic at Dens Park. The 38 year-old whistler will take charge of his fifth Celtic game this season with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to extend their significant gap over theRangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership league table to 18 points.

Robertson was previously the man in the middle for Celtic’s lamentable 3-0 defeat at Ibrox at the beginning of the month. In a fairly controversy free match onfield, the experienced referee handled the occasion well without any drama.

The FIFA appointed official was also in charge of Celtic’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie in December, the Hoops’ 6-0 victory against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park in late September and the table toppers opening day 4-0 comfortable outing versus Kilmarnock at Paradise.

Dundee had a rare free weekend. Tony Docherty’s side last played on Wednesday in their well-deserved 1-1 draw with theRangers in the City of Discovery which seemed to put the Ibrox club at tipping point with their manager Philippe Clement under severe scrutiny.

The Dark Blues sit 8th in a tightly congested table and are only two points above Hearts who are positioned in the relegation play-off spot.

On the other hand, Docherty’s men are three points off Hibs who have leaped into the top six after a remarkable turnaround of form in recent months.

Predicted Score

Our 2-1 prediction for the game at Dingwall was doing rather well, even when Arne’s penalty was saved. A re-take and Luke McCowan putting the cherry on the cake put paid to another correct scoreline. Maybe we’ll get back to getting this right with a 3-0 win for Celtic this evening.
