Dundee United set to sign Billy Koumetio from Liverpool | OneFootball

Accourding to Le Parisien journaist Marc Mechenoua, Liverpool centre back Billy Koumetio (21) is set to sign for Dundee United. The Lyon academy graduate is set to sign a 2-year contract with the option of an extra year at the SPFL club.

After agreeing personal terms with the Scottish club, the Liverpool defender is set to travel up to Scotland on Friday and complete a medical ahead of the pending move. Dundee have been tracking Koumetio since early July with a potential transfer in mind as reported by Marc Mechenoua.

The 21-year-old has struggled for first-team opportunities at Anfield and is now set for a new chapter of his career in Scotland. Most recently, Koumetio spent last season on loan in the EFL Championship with Blackburn Rovers. However, the Frenchman struggled for minutes at Ewood Park and will be hoping for regular minutes as he prepares to move north of the English border.
