Tony Cottee has given a scathing assessment of the clubs indecisiveness surrounding Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham were once again humbled this season, this time at the hand of Liverpool, who were the latest side to easily dismantle Julen Lopetegui’s team, a 5-0 home thrashing on this occasion.

It’s the latest in a long line of shambolic performances from West Ham this season under Lopetegui, with many now left wandering what on earth has to happen before the club act and admit this appointment has been a disaster.

Yet once again, despite another awful performance from the Hammers this season under the leadership of the inept Lopetegui, West Ham’s hierarchy have opted to sit and wait for the situation to become even more dreadful than it already is.

Club legend Tony Cottee has now spoken out on the situation, by quite-rightly slamming the board for their continued support of Lopetegui, while fans from all quarters call for his head.

“What are the Board waiting for?” said Cottee on social media account X. “The 5-0 drubbing at City and knocked out of the Cup by Villa?!!! Get Graham Potter in now and give him a chance to save the season and work in the Jan window… Yesterday was dreadful and something has to change. Our fans deserve so much better.”
