Doyle agrees to Sheffield United loan deal | OneFootball

Tommy Doyle has joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan.

The midfielder will continue his development with the Championship club after spells with Hamburg and Cardiff City last season.

He played in 19 of a possible 21 matches in the second tier in the 2021/22 campaign after joining Cardiff in January.

Last season also saw Doyle make his debut for England Under-21s. He has now played for Lee Carsley’s Young Lions on six occasions.

A graduate of our famed Academy, the 20-year-old has made seven first team appearances for City since his debut in a Carabao Cup tie with Southampton in October 2019.

He has also enjoyed huge success in youth football, captaining City to FA Youth Cup glory in 2020 and our EDS to the Premier League 2 title in 2021.
