Costa has started all three of the Galaxy's opening games so far this campaign, scoring once and creating more chances (10) than any other player at the club.

"I wasn't worried about coming here and adapting, or what the situation was going to be," Costa told reporters via a translator. "It was more about doing something new for me, coming to a different country. I think it's a league that has strong players who are fast on the field as well."

Elaborating on his takeaways from MLS so far, he continued: "Most games are even, there's not one team that's above another. Playing on turf, it's something that has been a problem for me to adapt to. I didn't have that when I played in Brazil."

One of the keys to success for the Galaxy this season will be Costa's connection with striker and fellow DP Chicharito. So far, the signs are good and Costa says it's the Mexican who has been most forthcoming when helping him adapt to his new surroundings.

"Chicharito has been one of the first players, alongside Victor Vazquez, to make sure I've adapted quickly to the team and on the field," Costa said. "We're trying to make sure we're connecting and making scoring opportunities for the team."

After taking six points from their opening three games, the Galaxy host Orlando City on Saturday afternoon.
