Two years ago, Borussia Dortmund youngster Dario Scuderi suffered a sickening leg break that looked to have ended his career.
It was the definition of a freak and horror injury – and one that led to doctors telling the Italian right-back that he would never play football again.

The 20-year-old underwent nine surgeries and sat out over 700 days of action as he recovered, but now he is back and ready to achieve his dreams.
“Comeback. After a very long and hard time, where the doctors had already written me off,” Scuderi revealed on Instagram.
“Thanks to my family and my friends and the BVB, without you I would not be back.”
Dortmund even paid for the Italian to study sports management as an alternative career option. But he’s back and we salute him.
