Marco Reus is expected to be fit for the Champions League quarter-final encounter with Manchester City despite limping off during Borussia Dortmund’s win over Stuttgart on Saturday.
Reus put Dortmund 2-1 ahead before being replaced in the 67th minute by eventual matchwinner Ansgar Knauff.
The 31-year-old left the left in visible discomfort, but BVB’s interim manager Edin Terzić fully expects Reus to recover in time for Wednesday’s clash with the EPL leaders.
“Marco has played a lot in the last few weeks, including playing very intensely after the injury,” Terzić said after seeing his men fight off a spirited Stuttgart side.
“This must not be forgotten. Then there was this unfortunate scene today where he was hit and fell unhappily.

“But even there we are confident that it will look better tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.”
Dortmund will be hoping Reus can play his part in overturning a 2-1 deficit from last Tuesday’s first-leg clash in Manchester.
