Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that club legend Lars Ricken will be their new managing director for sport.
Ricken had previously been overseeing Dortmund’s youth teams but will now move into the boardroom to oversee everything sport-related at the Westfalenstadion.

Ricken joins sporting director Sebatian Kehl and technical director Sven Mislintat from May 1.
Ricken spent his entire playing career at Dortmund, playing over 300 times in the Bundesliga for the German giants as well as scoring in their Champions League final win over Juventus in 1997.
