Borussia Dortmund have extended the stay of a key member in Edin Terzić’s backroom staff.

Armin Reutershahn joined the Bundesliga giants in January on an initial six-month deal after long-serving assistant Peter Hermann resigned for health reasons.

But the Black and Yellows confirmed on Wednesday that the 63-year-old’s contract has now been extended until the end of June 2025.

“Armin agreed to a six-month contract with us at very short notice in the winter and immediately supported us in this difficult situation,” said sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

“We gave him credit for his willingness back then and said right from the start that we would talk about a longer-term future after the season.

“The team and coaching staff have been working with him for six months now and have gotten to know and appreciate each other.

“It was therefore our goal, and also the wish of our coach Edin Terzić, to continue the successful cooperation in this constellation.”

Reutershahn served as one of Terzić’s right-hand men as BVB went agonisingly close to clinching a first Meisterschale since 2012 last month.
