Both kicker and Sport1 have reported that the pair completed a light running session on Sunday away from the rest of BVB’s first team.

Sebastian Kehl, the head of Dortmund’ licensed players’ department, admitted it was still touch-and-go whether the key men would be able to participate in final training on Monday ahead of the visit of the Portuguese champions.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” Kehl said.

“We’ll still need tomorrow. It’s going to be tight for both of them, but we have hope.”

Between them, Haaland and Reus have already scored 12 goals and racked up seven assists in all competitions this season.
