Borussia Dortmund moved into the Bundesliga top four with a Nico Füllkrug-inspired 3-1 victory against Bochum.

Dortmund took an early lead from the penalty spot after Manuel Riemann was adjudged to have committed a foul.

Niclas Füllkrug made no mistake from 12 yards but Dortmund failed to build on their lead and paid for it on the stroke of half time.

A cross came into the box and Nico Schlotterbeck turned the ball into his own net from close range.

Into the second half, Dortmund largely dominated the game but could not find a way through a resolute Bochum backline.

In the 72nd minute, that changed as Füllkrug grabbed his and Dortmund’s second with a header.

He completed his hat trick in added time with another penalty to seal an important win for his side.
