Dortmund confirm Julian Brandt injury blow

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Julian Brandt will miss at least their next two Bundesliga games, including this weekend’s derby against Schalke.

The attacking midfielder has been in superb form of late and is Dortmund’s top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with eight goals.

Brandt pulled up five minutes into Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Chelsea and Dortmund have now confirmed a hamstring tear.

With that, he will miss Saturday’s Revierderby in Gelsenkirchen as well as the home game against Köln the following weekend.
