Borussia Dortmund interim manager Edin Terzić admitted that injury forced Mats Hummels off during the second half of Saturday’s win over Hertha BSC.
The veteran centre-back was replaced by Dan Zagadou in the 58th minute, but it seems BVB are not too concerned by the issue.
“Mats felt his knee, he has felt that a little bit for weeks. Unfortunately, he couldn’t go any further today,” Terzić told Sky Deutschland.
Attacker Marco Reus also left the field late on after Vladimír Darida’s red-card tackle caught the attacker on the achilles, but neither Dortmund player is expected to face a lay-off.
“We are in good spirits that if we examine them today, examine them tomorrow, we can spare them a bit in the next few days that they will be there again from Tuesday,” Terzić added.
Despite victory over Hertha, Dortmund still lie outside the Champions League places.
They will continue their top-four push with a trip to Köln next Saturday.
