Like most of you I’m still recovering from yesterday’s emotionally draining two and a half hours of cup football at Hampden.

It was an enthralling game and wonderful advert for Scottish football. It was action packed from the word go, and we were fully entertained in a game that seen a total of six goals from two fully committed attacking sides, ending in a nerve wrenching dramatic penalty shoot out. That’s what football is all about.

It might have been tough on the old ticker and the majority of us had to have a lie down afterwards, but would you change it for anything else? At the end of the day we won, and that’s all that matters especially in a one off cup tie, especially a semi final.

Yes our defending was yet again was questionable, it was to put it brutally, amateur stuff. Two similar goals conceded in the closing stages is very concerning, but you know what? Leave that until next week, sit back and enjoy the moment and maybe take in the other semi-final.

Or maybe a better alternative is to get along to Celtic Park this afternoon to cheer on our other league leaders – Celtic FC Women are playing Hearts at Paradise, kick-off 4.10pm – as Elena Sadiku’s free scoring Celtic side look for a vital win as they chase a first ever SWPL title for our club. The atmosphere will be brilliant and it will be a great day out for the family, especially the weans. A full match preview is coming up shortly on The Celtic Star.

As for now just enjoy being in a cup final and be privileged to have witnessed such a dramatic game of football. As the old tune goes, Don’t worry, be Happy.
